A creative and confidence-building journey towards Finnish fluency

The Linguajoy Advanced Finnish Club is designed for 11–14-year-old students who already have a basic command of Finnish (A2 level or approaching it) and are ready to take the next step in their language journey. The course offers a rich and immersive environment where students deepen their skills through meaningful interaction, creativity and culture.

Our focus is on developing spoken fluency and communication strategies, expanding topic-specific vocabulary, and reinforcing the use of correct sentence structures in both formal and informal contexts. Each session combines engaging activities – including discussions, debates, storytelling, drama and games – to encourage confident and authentic use of the language. Students are also supported in strengthening their reading comprehension and writing skills, as we explore a variety of texts, media and written formats. Themes may include everyday life, school, hobbies, the environment, and Finnish traditions and current events – all tailored to students’ interests and age level.

Led by native Finnish-speaking teachers, the club provides natural exposure to authentic pronunciation and cultural nuance. Learners are encouraged to express themselves freely, take risks, and grow their skills in a warm, motivating and supportive atmosphere. Every student is met as an individual and supported on their unique path toward stronger Finnish proficiency.
